The new fully digital solution from Rubus for signing electricity contracts at home handovers has now been operational for a few months. The results so far have been highly positive, with a high conversion rate, and homebuyers describe the process as "fast, easy, and completely friction-free." We have also introduced a feature that allows the import of electricity meter numbers—saving time and improving data quality. ✔️

For homebuyers, this means they no longer have to go through the traditionally time-consuming process of finding and ordering an electricity contract. For property developers and contractors, it not only increases customer satisfaction but also eliminates much of the manual work and follow-up after handover.

One of the first to use the service was Stoltz Entreprenør AS, which recently completed a project at Nyhavn 4, Sandviken, where they built 23 modern apartments for BoNo Bolig AS.
"We are already seeing great benefits with the new power selector. It works excellently, saves us from administrative follow-up, and we have received very positive feedback from both those conducting the handovers and the homebuyers," says Michael Bech, Site Manager at Stoltz Entreprenør AS.

Dag Ersvær, Chief Product Officer at Rubus, is proud of the solution and the strong results:
"We continuously work to improve the customer journey in home purchases. Transferring electricity contracts has previously been a time-consuming process for all parties involved in a home handover, but our new solution removes friction and creates a win-win situation for everyone."

Adrian Risa Midttveit from Fjordkraft adds:
"We want to make it as easy as possible for new customers to get started with an electricity subscription with us. Integrating electricity directly into the handover protocol ensures that power facilities are transferred smoothly and efficiently during home handovers. Rubus, with its modern platform and strong production capabilities, has made the integration work seamless for us, and we are pleased that customers can now benefit from this solution. It’s especially exciting to see the high conversion rate, confirming that the solution works as intended."

Rubus is now working to onboard even more electricity providers, offering homebuyers a wider selection and further strengthening market competition. With this innovative power selector, Rubus takes yet another step toward a more digitalized and efficient home-buying process—to the benefit of homebuyers, developers, and electricity providers alike.
